The EP, What Ships Are For, ended up reaching number #1 on Amazon's Country Gospel Charts, "When I'm Fifty" won best music video in Pittsburgh and was showcased at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA, and the album received reviews like this one:

"Marshall's tunes are generally sweet and sentimental, his vocals steady if not always strong. Simple, steady tunes like "Red Slippers" (which recalls Jim Croce and "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" at once) are catchy and suit Marshall well." - Andy Mulkerin, Pittsburgh's City Paper
