GRIEF TRACKS

OBJECTIVE
Engage the social media community, provide support to grieving children and families, and create a unique, interactive way to connect audiences with the Highmark Caring Place brand.

INSIGHT
Music has the power to heal and unite; playlists can offer both comfort and community for children and families navigating grief.

ACTION
• Led the creation of Grief Tracks, a series of themed Spotify playlists curated by staff and submissions from the social media community.
• Launched the first playlist, Songs That Inspire Hope: Disney Edition, to inspire hope and positivity.
• Expanded to six additional playlists, integrating the initiative into peer support groups and ongoing social media engagement.
• Produced the first-ever Children’s Grief Awareness Day Grief Tracks playlist, Pause to Listen: Beats of Support, featuring submissions from the virtual event community.
• Presented the project at the National Alliance for Children’s Grief 2023 Symposium to share best practices with grief centers nationwide.
